The client 

Green Custard is an award-winning professional services software company and Amazon Web Services (AWS) partner. The professional, creative, and intelligent team behind this rapidly-growing SME ensure their customers transform into efficient, data-driven organisations that are primed for success.

The brief

Green Custard hosts regular events for their employees to say thank you and provide opportunities to socialise with one another. Covid-19 put a stop to the usual Christmas celebrations, but the directors wanted to make sure the party was replaced with something special.

Gathering thoughts from their team on what they would like - and more importantly what they wouldn’t - they came to us to plan and host a virtual party that wouldn’t bore in a world of zoom fatigue.

The main event

After using the information in the brief, our knowledge of the team, and from researching a wide range of possible virtual event ideas - we developed the Green Custard Games Evening.

This custom online event was tailored to suit the individual personalities within the team, featuring a mix of fast-moving and interactive games. The evening’s entertainment included game show elements away from the screens, and original quizzes written for them which included the laughter-filled Green vs Custard round.

We didn’t just plan the evening, we hosted it directly from our studio too. This resulted in both an engaging and smooth-running event, leaving each team member to simply relax and enjoy.

The results

This was a great project to work on, not only because of our fondness of the Green Custard team, but it also gave us the opportunity to show that it is possible for SMEs to have custom events within budget. Off the shelf doesn’t have to be the answer!
